Job summary

Orbus-Inc in Illinois is seeking a Staff Accountant to act as a key financial contributor across units. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and own parts of the month-end close while ensuring US GAAP compliance.

The role requires 4+ years of accounting, ERP experience (NetSuite), strong Excel, and a business-minded, proactive approach. You will partner with operations and FP&A to improve profitability and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in public accounting and multi-entity environments is preferred.
• Proficiency with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain general ledger.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
• Maintain prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany accounts.
• Assist with inventory/cost accounting in manufacturing environments.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting docs.
• Support audits and tax preparation activities.
• Ensure internal controls and accounting policies compliance.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Participate in process improvements and system enhancements.
• Deliver timely consolidated financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
