Job summary

Traka is seeking a Sr. Accountant to apply accounting principles to management reporting, financial analysis, and capital accounting.

The role collaborates with the General Manager and corporate finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting, and to identify opportunities for operational improvements and change within the accounting group. The successful candidate will handle monthly close, depreciation tracking, budgeting support, and compliance with GAAP, working onsite at Spring Hill, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3-5+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
• Background in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring management reporting including department reports and variance analysis.
• Assist with monthly close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze assets, liabilities, and capital; prepare balance sheet and P&L summaries.
• Review, investigate, and correct errors in financial entries and reports.
• Monitor sales tax returns in Avalara and maintain related records.
