Job summary

Triumph Systems Electronics and Controls, located in Forest, Ohio, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. You will collaborate with operations and corporate finance to ensure accurate data, drive cost control, and support decision-making for plant leadership.

The role requires GAAP expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 in manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing.
• Manage inventory accounting, including cycle counts, physical inventory reconciliation, and obsolescence reserves.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and report findings to plant management.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including capital expenditure tracking.
• Maintain and improve internal controls related to plant accounting and inventory.
• Partner with operations, production, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules.
