Clayton Services in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing team. You will work with the Controller and operations to manage close processes, maintain financial records, and provide insights into manufacturing costs.

Requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, with expertise in general ledger, cost accounting, and ERP systems; QuickBooks experience is a plus. Direct hire, on-site role.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience required.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, job costing, standard costing, and/or work-in-process accounting.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience.
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
• ERP implementation, system conversion, or process improvement experience preferred.
• Experience across multiple facilities or locations is a plus.
• Mentoring or reviewing work of junior accounting staff preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules.
• Maintain general ledger activity and assist with reporting.
• Support inventory, manufacturing costs, WIP, and production variances.
• Analyze labor, materials, overhead, and margins; explain variances.
• Collaborate with operations to improve production-related financial visibility.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support accounting functions: fixed assets, cash, prepaid expenses, AP, and AR.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and management reporting.
• Maintain accounting controls, documentation, and approvals.
• Prepare schedules for external accounting, audit, and tax.
• Participate in system improvements and future implementations.
• Help organize and standardize financial data and processes.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and reduce manual processes.
• Provide guidance or review for other accounting team members.
