Job summary

Discount Tire & Service Centers in Anaheim, CA seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting across multiple corporate entities and locations. You will manage the general ledger, AP/AR, inventory accounting, monthly reconciliations, and the full close cycle, while leading a small accounting team in a fast-growing, family-owned retailer.

Reporting to the Controller and CFO, you will build scalable processes, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including AP/AR.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Experience across multiple entities or locations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and large data handling.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff across AP/AR.
• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close for all entities.
• Maintain internal controls and scalable accounting policies.
• Coordinate with Controller/CFO on financial reporting.
• Oversee bank and GL reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee inventory accounting and variance investigations.
• Manage end-to-end AP/AR processes and lead timely payments.
• Ensure subsidiary ledgers align with the GL.
