Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Accountant Lead to ensure the integrity of financial information by maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax compliance. This hybrid role reports to the finance team and requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

You will oversee A/P, lease accounting (ASC 842), forecasting, and year-end tax packages, while ensuring timely reporting and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Syteline experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review A/P payments for alignment with the Corporate IT AP Matrix.
• Maintain lease schedules and record, reconcile, and forecast Prepaid activity.
• Manage copier lease agreements and coordinate with vendors for leases, renewals, installations, and billing issues.
• Reconcile, analyze, and forecast lease accounting activities per ASC 842.
• Perform Actual vs Budget analysis and forecasting.
• Support semi-annual true up process and year-end tax packages.
• Conduct SOX self-assessment testing for key financial controls; document walkthroughs.
