Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Springfield, Missouri. You will transform accounting data into meaningful insights, apply GAAP, partner with leaders, and develop proficiency in Workday financial software while mentoring accounting staff.

You will own key accounting activities, support month-end close, prepare detailed reports, and assist with budgeting, grants, and capital asset activities as part of a collaborative, mission-driven finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Seven or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor accounting team members while supporting accountability and high-quality results.
• Own assigned accounting activities independently, including prep and posting journal entries and maintaining financial records.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, perform month-end close activities, and review financial statements for accuracy.
