Job summary

HiAccounting, a division of The Hawaii Group, is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee workpapers and reconciliations in support of financial statements and management reports. You will coach junior staff, supervise deliverables, and ensure deadlines are met for multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes client service, process improvements, and active involvement in new client onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0 accounting or business administration preferred.
• Minimum three years of public accounting and/or private sector experience.
• One year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of workpapers and reconciliations for financial statements and management reports.
• Review junior staff workpapers, reconciliations, and client deliverables.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• Coach and mentor junior staff; supervise to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with client implementations, budgets, and engagement letters.
• Maintain compliance with policies and industry changes.
