Job summary

Knife River - SD is seeking an experienced accounting professional to apply accounting principles, analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. This role assists in directing financial activities of the organization.

Typical schedule during production season is Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities include GL reconciliations, month-end close, inventory costing, audits support, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years accounting principles and management experience.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Experience with listed software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Recon Review, Organization and Tracking.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
• Maintain Journal Entry list for the department.
• Perform corporate and region journal entries as needed.
• Assist month end close for inventory and GL assigned tasks.
• Assist with audits by internal and external auditors.
• Maintain ARO/Depletion/Royalties worksheets and entries.
