BuyWander is seeking a Senior Accountant to build and maintain a scalable accounting function. You will report to the Controller and handle significant portions of the close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a fast-growing, multi-location e-commerce business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with cycle close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support inventory accounting across multiple locations, including valuation and COGS.
• Reconcile inventory with operational systems and internal inventory system (Chuk).
• Analyze high-volume transaction data from auction activity, payment processors, and WanderBucks program.
• Assist with revenue recognition related to auction and marketplace models.
• Support payroll accounting and related accruals, including hourly labor costs.
• Assist with AP/AR and other accounting processes as needed.
• Support audit preparation and external financial statements.
