Kinsale Insurance, a leading specialty insurer headquartered in Richmond, VA, seeks a Senior Accountant to drive the close process and support statutory reporting. You will work with a collaborative Finance team, advancing process improvements and AI-driven workflows while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements include a bachelor's in accounting/finance, 2–4 years of accounting and insurance experience, and strong communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance-related field required.
• Two to four years of accounting experience required.
• Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred.
• One to three years of related insurance experience preferred.
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency; strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with initiative and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the close process with monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries including insurance, reinsurance, intercompany, allocations, tax accruals, and investment activity.
• Assist with ERP system administration and general-ledger maintenance.
• Participate in process improvements, including AI-driven workflows.
• Assist with accounting for reinsurance arrangements and related reporting.
• Prepare internal controls and reporting packages for assigned areas.
• Record and report tax filings and related payments.
• Contribute to quarterly statutory reporting schedules.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and cross-departmental tasks.
