Location: Individual may be based near the Astound New York market, including Princeton, New Jersey, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. Mostly remote position, but may need to commute into the local office as needed on an intermittent basis.

Position Overview

The Sr Accountant (I or II) is responsible for daily accounting operations, managing network costs and debt accounting. The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting per US GAAP.
• Review network cost contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Prepare journals, account reconciliations, and analyze fluctuations.
• Manage network cost payments and accruals.
• Support quarterly reviews and audits; refine accounting processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, AP, and business units on policies and system improvements.
• Participate in special projects, system enhancements, or ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

• For Sr. Accountant II: 3+ years of accounting experience and at least 2 years of Big 4 audit experience.
• For Sr. Accountant I: 1-2 years of accounting and Big 4 audit experience.
• Experience with month-end close procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, communication, and written skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA certification required.

Salary Range

Base salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits. Specific ranges depend on experience and role level.
