Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking a Senior Accountant for a temporary-to-hire role in the Seattle area.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least five years of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills. The position is hybrid in south Seattle, WA, involving month-end close, SEC support, variances analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five or more years of accounting experience.
• CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP, Blackline, or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts; resolve variances.
• Review financial data from multiple systems for accuracy and completeness.
• Support leases, fixed assets, foreign currency, and intercompany transactions.
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet across entities and business units.
• Assist with SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K schedules and disclosures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enforce accounting policies.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
