MotivHealth is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain GAAP and STAT financial statements, manage the month-end close, and ensure ledger accuracy. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, and audits in a fully remote or hybrid setup.

You will collaborate across departments, mentor junior staff, and leverage Excel and ERP systems like NetSuite or Sage to optimize processes. A Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 4+ years of experience are required; CPA is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with STAT reporting preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP experience with NetSuite and Sage is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and STAT financial statements.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external STAT and GAAP audits and coordinate audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
• Assist with STAT regulatory reporting.
• Support process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting needs.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting duties.
