Job summary

Outerknown, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant in Carlsbad, CA to perform daily accounting functions in a dynamic environment. The role is hybrid with a four-day in-office expectation at the HQ.

You will maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and support month-end close, with emphasis on accuracy and safeguarding company assets. Strong Excel, public accounting background, and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5+ years in a high-performance accounting team.
• Prior public accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and urgency.
• Ability to adapt to changing work demands.
• Goal-oriented with focus on results and teamwork.
• Advanced Excel experience required.
• Full Circle and Acumatica experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and close processes.
• Prepare journal entries for inventory, intercompany, FX, leases, etc.
• Calculate accruals and estimates monthly.
• Own commissions and royalty processes.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Review postings and provide month-end analysis.
• Support audit inquiries and provide PBC schedules.
• Assist with month-end process improvements.
