Job summary
Liberty Utilities is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate recording, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of financial information. The role collaborates with operations, regulatory, procurement, FP&A, and other finance teams to ensure financial integrity and compliant close processes.
The Accountant III will assist with month-end and year-end close activities, regulatory reporting, and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience with US GAAP and SOX controls.
- Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with closing schedules.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and schedules.
- Investigate and explain variances and unusual activity.
- Support financial statements and disclosures.
