This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced GL Accountant who wants more than a traditional accounting role. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, work closely with the CFO, and grow into a future accounting leadership role.

The Opportunity

This position will serve as the company's primary general ledger accounting resource, taking ownership of core accounting functions and helping strengthen and modernize the accounting operation.

The company is investing in automation, modernization, and marketing initiatives designed to increase efficiency and scale the business. This position will play an important role in supporting that growth while developing into a key financial leader within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger and month-end close process
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Prepare and maintain financial schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis
• Manage and reconcile fixed assets
• Perform inventory accounting and reconciliations
• Monitor accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
• Assist with year-end close and external accounting/audit requirements
• Help improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting procedures
• Partner with the CFO and operational leadership on financial matters
• Provide guidance and support to the existing accounting staff
• Over time, assume increasing responsibility for the accounting function and financial operations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong general ledger experience
• Fixed asset and/or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems
• A desire to grow into a broader accounting leadership position
