La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago seeks a Senior Accountant, Hospital Operations, to manage monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls for hospital operations. This role partners with operations and finance to deliver timely financial information.

You will support budgeting, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting, and will assist with audits and process improvements while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and related financial concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP and closing schedules.
• Perform month-end close including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly analyses to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to leadership; explain variances.
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits with required workpapers.
