Job summary

MAVRX, LLC is seeking a fully remote Senior Accountant role with genuine hands-on ownership over the company’s financials. You’ll handle bookkeeping, entry of transactions, and build the financial infrastructure from the ground up.

This is a hands‑on position not intended for delegation; you’ll be responsible for close processes, AR/AP, payroll across multiple states, and ensuring accuracy to the transaction level, with room to grow as the company matures.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on work and system processes.
• Hands-on, detail-focused work; not a delegation role.
• Demonstrated readiness for more ownership; not necessarily an Accounting Manager title.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Personally handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including AP/AR, expenses, and reconciliations.
• Lead the transition from Smartsheet tracking to proper accounting software.
• Establish close, AR/AP aging, and reporting processes; ensure accuracy.
• Process payroll across multiple states with adherence to state requirements.
• Resolve classification and compliance questions; own financial accuracy.
