Job summary

Leo Facilities Maintenance is seeking a Senior Accountant (CPA) to build and mature the company’s accounting function in a fully remote role. You will own key technical accounting areas from day one and partner with the Accounting Manager to create repeatable, scalable processes.

You’ll lead ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts, while performing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong

Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• 3+ years of accounting experience (public and/or private)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) and/or revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Experience building or improving processes and controls
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Responsibilities

• Lease accounting management under ASC 842, including classifications and amortization schedules
• POC accounting and revenue recognition for long-term contracts under ASC 606
• Journal entries and month-end close processes
• Design and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• General ledger analysis and reconciliations across balance sheet and income statement
• Technical accounting research and memos documenting conclusions
• Audit and external reporting support
• Cross-functional collaboration with FP&A and operations to reflect business operations
