Planes Companies in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. You will maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, and help drive process improvements.

This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, 4+ years of accounting experience, and excellent communication skills. It is an on-site, full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting proficiency.
• Advanced Excel; familiarity with Outlook and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and review journal entries for accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audit preparation.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and management teams.
• Participate in system upgrades, process automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
• Cross-train with other accounting team members.
