Job summary

Metcut Research in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen our Accounting Department. The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely close processes.

You will oversee AP/AR/GL, month-end close, prepare GAAP financial statements, assist with budgets and forecasts, support external audits, and provide guidance to accounting staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of experience, CPA/CMA

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
3–5 years progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and internal controls.
ERP proficiency, advanced Excel, and audits coordination.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
Prepare GAAP-based financial statements and schedules.
