Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Payroll Leader to oversee global payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions. You will lead a team, govern payroll processes, and partner with Finance, HR, Tax, IT, and external advisors to ensure accurate filings and compliant remittances.

The role requires CPP certification preference, 10+ years in payroll, and strong experience with ADP and SAP. This position is based in Minnesota, with hybrid/work arrangements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global operations.
• Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory/management role.
• Experience with payroll tax, employment regulations, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and governance for payroll across six countries and EOR locations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll professionals.
• Develop and execute payroll strategy aligned with objectives.
• Establish governance standards, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
• Lead payroll auditing, validation, delivery, and vendor governance.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll tax issues with stakeholders.
• Manage employment tax and audits, registrations, remittances, reporting.
• Analyze payroll metrics to identify risks and support decisions.
• Govern outsourced payroll providers and service levels.
• Design controls against duplicates, fraud, and errors.
