Job summary

Xylem is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the month-end close process, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple business units in Charlotte, NC. The role is hybrid (in office three days per week).

The ideal candidate has strong GL expertise, month-end close experience, advanced Excel, and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, BlackLine and OneStream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–8 years of progressive accounting experience with GL focus.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle).
• SOX awareness and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End Close: prepare and review journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconciliations & Financial Reporting: perform complex reconciliations and assist with statements and schedules.
• Intercompany Accounting & Consolidations: manage intercompany entries and assist global consolidation.
• Audit, Compliance & Controls: support audits and SOX compliance with thorough documentation.
• Process Improvement & Collaboration: improve processes and partner with cross-functional teams.
