Job summary

Kinetico Incorporated in Newbury Township, OH, seeks a GL Accountant to ensure accuracy of financial records, manage month-end close, and support internal controls. You will collaborate with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance to provide financial insight and drive process improvements.

The role requires CPA certification (or in progress), 3–5 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills. Hybrid work model with focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA certified (or in progress).
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing company.
• Exposure to Cost Accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate processing.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Review income statement and balance sheet for accuracy.
• Support cash flow reporting and financial trend analysis.
• Assist with audits and tax/regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve accounting issues.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve internal controls.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
