Job summary

Abercrombie & Kent Europe is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls across domestic and international operations. You will support general ledger activities, journal entries, month-end closes, and cross-functional accounting initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting, with CPA preferred, and 3–5 years of accounting experience in public or corporate settings. Evening/weekend hours may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, mix of public and industry preferred.
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation for external auditors.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on tax-related reporting.
• Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances.
• Partner cross-functionally on accounting initiatives and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
