Overview
As an International Accountant, you will support our global financial operations by managing cross-border accounting processes, ensuring compliance with international standards, and providing insightful financial analysis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in multinational environments, where you'll contribute to accurate reporting, risk management, and efficient financial workflows for our international entities.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements for international subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS, GAAP, or local GAAP standards; handle currency translations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Compliance & Taxation: Ensure adherence to global tax regulations, VAT/GST compliance, and transfer pricing documentation; collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors on international filings.
- Transaction Processing: Oversee accounts payable/receivable for cross-border transactions, including foreign currency hedging, invoice processing, and payment reconciliations using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Analysis & Forecasting: Conduct variance analysis, budget forecasting, and financial modeling for global operations; identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate foreign exchange risks.
- Process Improvement: Implement and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency across time zones; integrate new technologies for automated reporting and data analytics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with regional finance teams, legal, and operations leaders to support mergers/acquisitions, expansions, and ad-hoc projects; provide training on international accounting best practices.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to queries, and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in international accounting or finance roles, with exposure to multinational corporations; experience in logistics, manufacturing, or services sectors is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent international certification preferred.
- Skills:Proficiency in international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and tax compliance (e.g., OECD guidelines).
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and tools like Excel (advanced), QuickBooks, or Hyperion for financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex, high-volume data.
- Adaptable to diverse cultural and regulatory environments, with strong communication skills for virtual global teams.
