King & Bishop is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close in a global accounting environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external auditors, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to produce financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities and assist with standardizing accounting procedures.
• Prepare and complete monthly account reconciliations, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Prepare and post monthly accruals and corporate journal entries.
• Analyze and review financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules and supporting documentation.
• Document accounting processes, identify key internal controls, and recommend improvements.
• Assist with researching and resolving technical accounting matters.
• Support special projects and time-sensitive accounting initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation and deliverables for annual audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and applicable local statutory accounting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams to support financial reporting and operational objectives.
• Perform additional accounting duties and projects as assigned.
