Job summary

Turo is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the USA general ledger, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and partner with cross-functional teams to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will focus on month-end close while driving process improvements and supporting audits in a fast-paced tech environment. This hybrid, in-office role is based in San Francisco with collaboration across finance and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business
• Experience with NetSuite or another large-scale accounting system
• Coupa experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced tech environment
• Posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and building auditable working papers

Responsibilities

• Own the Global general ledger including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll and allocations
• Post journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
• Review work of a BPO resource handling entries and reconciliations
• Provide guidance and ensure accuracy of month-end close deliverables
• Collaborate with Procurement and Accounts Payable for accurate GL impact
• Identify weaknesses and drive process improvements
• Improve month-end close speed, accuracy, and documentation quality
• Support year-end audit and provide necessary schedules
• Assist in integrating NetSuite with banking platform for automated reconciliations
• Support external audits related to areas of responsibility
