Job summary

RS&H is seeking an Accounting Intern for the Finance group in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves basic accounting tasks, processing vendor invoices and expense reports, and assisting with GL entries under close supervision.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Deltek is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication; grammar and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Document financial transactions by entering data into the General Ledger with correct codes and periods.
• Prepare basic GL reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Process routine invoices and expense reports in Deltek with proper documentation.
• Answer accounting questions using GAAP principles and standard methods.
• Support Fixed Asset data entry for PP&E and depreciation selections.
• Assist with ASC 842 operating lease entries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
