HR Consulting Solutions LLC in Paducah, KY, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting beyond bookkeeping, including reconciliations, GL entries, and financial reporting, with exposure to intercompany activity and compliance duties.

The successful candidate will have a strong GAAP background, hands-on QuickBooks and Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the CFO and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred; related fields may be considered.
• Five years of hands-on accounting experience preferred.
• GAAP experience; solid GL, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations is strongly preferred.
• QuickBooks proficiency required; Excel proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting: A/P, A/R, billing, GL activity.
• Code and enter A/P transactions; ensure proper expense classification.
• Process weekly A/P payments and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, vendor, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries; ensure accurate GL records.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and P&L/balance sheet prep.
• Maintain chart of accounts and supporting records.
• Back up payroll processing; cross-train for payroll.
• Assist with W-9s, sales tax, and compliance tasks.
