Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Accountant in Jacksonville, FL to handle general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and related accounting duties. The role supports financial reporting and ad hoc projects as needed, including unclaimed property tracking.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting or audit, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong Excel skills with effective communication. CPA status or progress is preferred; Oracle EBS and BlackLine experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in accounting or audit role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

• Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) General Ledger is a plus.
• Familiarity with BlackLine or similar account reconciliation tools preferred.

Responsibilities Kforce has a client looking for a Senior Accountant in Jacksonville, FL. This role is primarily focused on performing general ledger account reconciliations, resolving outstanding items, and preparing monthly journal entries. Additionally, the Senior Accountant may support broader accounting and financial reporting activities, as well as participate in ad hoc projects as needed. Responsibilities also include assisting with the tracking and follow-up of unclaimed property items.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred
• At least 5 years of proven experience in an accounting or audit role
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational abilities with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and effectively with limited oversight
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) General Ledger is a plus
• Familiarity with BlackLine or similar account reconciliation tools is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
