Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Well-rounded accounting experience beyond AP/AR including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to independently manage a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
• Strong Excel and ERP/accounting system skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, financial schedules, and reports.
• Manage or support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review the work of accounting staff and provide guidance and training.
• Monitor collections, vendor payments, cash activity, and discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and third parties.
• Support financial reporting for the parent company in Japan.
