Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Miami to join our dynamic finance team. The role emphasizes timely monthly close, GAAP-compliant financial statements, and liaison with external auditors to support audits and SEC reporting.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work independently and with teams to strengthen internal controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced monthly close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Draft footnotes for standalone audits and support SEC reporting packages.
• Interface with external auditors and provide requested documentation.
• Analyze financial statement components and communicate findings clearly.
• Maintain and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
• Apply GAAP principles with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen controls.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and perform reconciliations.
• Generate journal entries and supporting schedules, incl. intercompany eliminations.
• Produce ad hoc reports and support special projects as needed.
