Job summary

Superior Boiler seeks a senior accounting leader to ensure accurate financial reporting under GAAP and SEC rules. You will steer the accounting function, manage monthly closes, and oversee SOX controls in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role partners with audit teams, analyzes costs and variances, and drives process improvements. A 4-year degree in business or accounting and at least three years in finance are required; ERP experience/strong Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in finance or accounting (management level)
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Experience with SOX compliance
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Direct the company’s accounting functions and financial policies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and variances; provide actionable insights to management
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Completes journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
