Job summary

Cloud5 Communications is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the finance team, reporting to the Controller. You will manage day-to-day general ledger operations, drive accuracy in the monthly close, and perform analytical reviews.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of accounting experience, strong NetSuite and Excel skills, and the ability to connect financial data with operational workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech, IT services, SaaS, or hospitality-adjacent sectors.
• Strong understanding of operational business processes and GAAP.
• Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with expense management systems (e.g., Concur, Ramp, Expensify).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and draft general ledger entries, recurring journal entries, and accruals per GAAP.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of GL accounts including bank statements and intercompany balances.
• Analyze operational data to prepare journal entries and support financial reporting.
• Partner with operational departments to reflect activities in accounting workflows.
• Assist Controller with efficient month-end close and audit prep.
• Oversee expense processing workflows with accurate coding and timely resolution.
• Suggest process improvements and automation where applicable.
