Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced accounting professional to strengthen financial reporting and analysis. You will perform balance sheet and income statement analysis, support month-end close, and collaborate across Finance to improve controls and decision-making.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 4+ years in accounting/audit, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and excellent communication. Public accounting experience and Stripe integration exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting, audit, financial reporting, or related experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, with audit/financial reporting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP interpretation and application.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform sophisticated financial and account analysis, including balance sheet and income statement reviews.
• Conduct fluctuation, variance, and trend analysis to identify risks and drivers.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Finance to strengthen controls and decision-making.
• Assist audits by preparing schedules and liaising with auditors and stakeholders.
• Communicate results and issues clearly to multiple levels of the organization.
