Job summary

First American Home Warranty is seeking an experienced accounting professional with strong public accounting and U.S. GAAP expertise. You will perform detailed financial analyses, contribute to monthly and annual close, and collaborate across Finance to improve reporting and controls.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and excellent communication skills. Public accounting background is highly valued for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting, audit, financial reporting, or related experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, with audit, financial statement analysis, or financial reporting experience.
• Experience analyzing account activity and financial results, investigating variances and trends.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform sophisticated financial and account analysis, including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Execute fluctuation, variance, and trend analyses to identify risks and drivers.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate across Finance to strengthen reporting, controls, and decision-making.
• Identify errors, control issues, and risks affecting financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
• Communicate financial results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
