Job summary

CFS in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. This role focuses on general ledger management, month-end close, reconciliations, cost accounting, tax compliance, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate has a strong U.S. GAAP background, manufacturing experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and monthly financial statements.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and policies.
• Perform account reconciliations for bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Support AP, AR, cash management and payroll accounting.
• Develop cost accounting and analyze labor and project costs.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Collaborate across teams to provide timely financial information.
