Job summary

EmployBridge is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide comprehensive accounting support under the Senior Manager of Accounting. This role owns key functions across the organization, ensuring accurate general ledger input, journal entries, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical with strong communication skills, capable of partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing leadership.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required or closely related field.
• Professional accountancy certification (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance function.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Prior experience in a shared services environment preferred.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and related control requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute general accounting processes to support multiple branches, systems, and currencies.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by offshore shared services team.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting issues.
• Lead and/or support analytical activities for internal and external reporting per U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Respond to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data to support timely reporting.
• Adhere to internal controls and strengthen control processes where possible.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Sales Finance to provide accounting support as needed.
• Contribute to development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures; recommend improvements.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial data.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Support external and internal audits and ensure SLAs are met.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
