Hirebridge seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to lead key general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting for our Chicago-based finance team.

You will own complex journal entries and reconciliations, manage intercompany processes, support the annual audit, and drive process improvements to strengthen accuracy and controls.

The role requires independence, strong US GAAP knowledge, and collaboration across functions within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5 years of general accounting experience required, multi-entity or consolidation exposure a plus.
• Project-based accounting and manufacturing experience preferred.
• Private Equity experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; hands-on ERP experience (Dynamics) required.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and complex reconciliations; research accounting guidance.
• Ability to analyze data, identify variances, and implement solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities; review others' work for accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and review complex journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Own monthly fixed assets, commission, freight reconciliations and prepaids during close.
• Prepare and analyze income statement and balance sheet packages with variance/trend analysis.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliations across entities.
• Lead components of the annual audit process with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance close efficiency.
• Partner with other functions to resolve complex issues and support business objectives.
• Lead or participate in special projects with cross-functional visibility.
