Job summary

Servco Pacific Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting and Financial Services Automotive Accounting team. You will ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, manage month-end close, and support internal and external audits while mentoring staff.

You will develop and maintain process documentation, improve controls, and assist with automation initiatives, leveraging GAAP knowledge and ERP systems to drive accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum three years of senior accountant level work experience with general ledger accounting, period closing, estimates and reserves calculation, account reconciliation, analysis, inventory analysis, and financial reporting.
• CPA preferred.
• Technical accounting knowledge (GAAP).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Oracle Financial Cloud and dealer management systems knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data.
• Ability to independently research root causes and propose solutions.
• Attention to detail and ability to see how tasks fit into the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper accounting of transactions, reserves, and other estimates in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and file regulatory reports and other compliance deliverables monthly, annually, and on ad-hoc basis.
• Own general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other staff-prepared schedules.
• Document review comments and provide guidance to staff accountants.
• Complete assigned account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and execute inventory counts with operations and analyze resulting adjustments.
• Oversee internal and external audits and prepare schedules and analyses.
• Support stakeholders and escalate issues as needed; research errors to determine root causes and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to manage end-to-end workflows for accurate recording.
• Develop and review internal controls and process documentation; drive continuous improvement and automation.
