Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day general and administrative accounting within the Financial Services department, ensuring accurate month-end close, timely journal entries, reconciliations, and compliant financial reporting.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation, analytics, and internal/external audits, while strengthening internal controls and driving process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling skills using Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• SAP accounting software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day general and administrative accounting, including timely month-end close and journal entries.
• Perform reconciliations between financial systems and ensure accurate postings.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure integrity of reporting.
• Prepare management reporting packages and monthly/annual variance analyses.
• Support annual budget development and periodic forecasts with financial insights.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors.
