Job summary

Rauland, an AMETEK company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analysis. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and leadership to enhance processes and support strategic decisions.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and cost accounting, and advanced Excel skills. Manufacturing experience is preferred and the position is based on-site in Mount Prospect, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial analysis, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
• Working knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Experience working with integrated ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, profitability reports, and other key business metrics.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze costs, inventory, profitability, and operational performance.
• Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, and financial analysis.
• Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Assist with ERP system enhancements, testing, and finance-related process improvement initiatives.
• Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, physical inventory activities, and manufacturing financial analysis.
• Prepare executive summaries, ad hoc analysis, and special projects for Finance leadership.
