nVent, a global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, seeks a Senior Accountant in Minnesota to join its finance team. You will ensure accurate reporting, manage fixed assets, and help reconcile intercompany transactions, partnering with business units to drive timely closes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years of experience, and familiarity with ERP systems (INFOR M3, SAGE FAS) and Power tools; CPA/CMA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 3+ years strong accounting experience minimally required.
• Experience in fixed asset accounting and intercompany accounting/elimination is a plus.
• CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with SAGE FAS a plus.
• Experience with INFOR M3 or a similar ERP software package.
• Experience with Power Query or Power Automate a plus.
• Experience with OneStream a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Continuous improvement mentality and desire to enhance business processes.
• Ability to work and interact with various departments throughout the organization.
• The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals at all levels of the Organization.
• The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Responsabilités

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
• Assist in the research and analysis of general ledger account variances.
• Development and maintenance of standard recurring Journal Entries.
• Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis.
• Act as a business partner to drive resolution of reconciling items.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and reconcile with the general ledger - asset record creation, dispositions, and depreciation.
• Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled to ensure proper eliminations.
• Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team and functional leadership.
• Maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Prepare Ad Hoc data requests and project work as requested.
• Support the execution and application of technical accounting principles.
• Interaction with key segment business partners.
• Back-up others as needed in the primary accounting center environment to help with workloads as appropriate and to ensure work is completed timely and accurately.
