Job summary

Adroit Partners, LLC seeks a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring accurate depreciation, reconciliation, and reporting across ERP systems.

You will collaborate with accounting, operations, and finance teams, maintain asset records in Dynamics NAV, JD Edwards, and OneStream, and perform month-end close with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV, JD Edwards) and financial reporting/consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream) strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines, particularly around month-end close.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP as it relates to fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort learning and navigating multiple financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update fixed asset records across ERP and asset management systems.
• Review, approve, and code fixed asset invoices in the document management/workflow system with proper documentation.
• Reconcile asset costs and balances between source systems and the general ledger, resolving variances.
• Process monthly depreciation for all fixed assets and verify depreciation calculations.
• Record and manage asset disposals, including assets sold, damaged, lost, or stolen.
• Prepare CIP adjustments and reclassification entries, transferring CIP costs to fixed assets as projects are completed.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations and depreciation reasonableness reports.
• Enter finalized monthly fixed asset data into OneStream for reporting purposes.
• Generate, review, and archive fixed asset reports from ERP and BI tools.
• Record journal entries related to depreciation, disposals, and asset transfers.
• Process fixed asset transfers between locations, departments, or cost centers as needed.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the company's fixed asset lifecycle, from acquisition through disposal. This role ensures accurate tracking, depreciation, reconciliation, and reporting of fixed assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policy. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple financial systems and collaborating with accounting, operations, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update fixed asset records across the company's ERP and asset management systems, including Microsoft Dynamics NAV and JD Edwards (JDE)
• Review, approve, and code fixed asset invoices in the company's document management/workflow system (e.g., TrinDocs), ensuring proper documentation and account coding
• Reconcile asset costs and balances between source systems and the general ledger, investigating and resolving variances prior to month-end close
• Process monthly depreciation for all fixed assets and verify the accuracy of depreciation calculations
• Record and manage asset disposals, including assets that are sold, damaged, lost, or stolen
• Prepare and enter Construction in Progress (CIP) adjustment and reclassification entries, transferring CIP costs to fixed assets as projects are completed
• Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations and run depreciation expense reasonableness reports
• Enter finalized monthly fixed asset data into the company's financial consolidation and reporting platform (e.g., OneStream) for reporting purposes
• Generate, review, and archive fixed asset reports from ERP and business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., JDE and Hubble)
• Record journal entries related to depreciation, disposals, and asset transfers
• Process and document fixed asset transfers between locations, departments, or cost centers as needed
