Job summary

Nabsys, based in Providence, RI, is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead core accounting operations and maintain GAAP compliance. You will oversee month-end close, fixed assets, and accurate financial reporting to support management decisions.

The role reports to the CFO and emphasizes asset management, reconciliations, and insightful analyses in a fast-moving genomics company environment. Experience with external audits is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Expertise in fixed assets, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Manage fixed asset ledger: additions, disposals, depreciation.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and timely.
• Prepare and review journal entries, AP/AR, and cash flows.
• Develop financial reports and variance analyses for leadership.
• Support GAAP compliance and liaise with external auditors.
• Build financial models and ad hoc analyses for decision making.
• Assist product costing and periodic inventory valuation.
