Job summary

Cinterra is seeking a Senior Accountant to own complex accounting processes from transaction to GL reconciliation. You will handle fixed assets, corporate credit cards, and payroll-related accounting while supporting cash management, month-end close, financial reporting, and audits.

The role requires 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency. Collaboration with HR, Operations, and Finance is essential in a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Finance degree with significant accounting experience may be considered.
• Progressive accounting experience (4–7 years) including Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting; ability to prepare entries and reconcile balances.

Responsibilities

• Own fixed asset lifecycle including additions, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and retirements with monthly subledger reconciliation.
• Review purchases for capitalization vs. expense per policy and GAAP; prepare journal entries with documenting support.
• Support cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash-management activities; resolve unidentified cash activity before recording.
• Administer corporate credit cards including setup, changes, and policy adherence; ensure proper coding and documentation.
• Reconcile credit card activity to statements and GL; investigate discrepancies and document resolutions.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and accruals; reconcile payroll balance sheet and expense accounts; review payroll data for accuracy.
• Coordinate with HR and third-party payroll providers to resolve discrepancies; support payroll audits.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close; prepare journal entries and reconciliations; ensure timely, accurate closes.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support financial statement prep, reporting, and external audits.
• Maintain auditable documentation and standardized procedures; identify process improvements and assist system enhancements.
