Job summary

Symicor Group seeks a Senior Accountant for its Temple, TX market. The role offers a base salary up to $110K with an excellent benefits package. This is not a remote position and requires CPA plus a degree in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities include month-end close, FLASH reporting, quarterly call reports, and preparing various working papers and journal entries. Travel may be required and collaboration with staff across 300+ branches is expected.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–8 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in report writing and ad hoc reporting.
• Must be detail oriented, analytical, and organized.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must pass background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FLASH reporting and oversee month-end closing.
• Prepare quarterly Call Reports.
• Prepare Consolidated and Combined working papers.
• Prepare journal entries and allocations; support budget participation.
• Review and sign-off on staff accountant entries and reconciliations.
• Support external and regulatory audits (e.g., OCC, Fed, FDIC).
• Oversee departmental processes and automate workflows where possible.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports; produce managerial reports.
