Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at a community bank
• Experience with general ledger and financial reporting systems
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting, including call reports
• Excellent communication across all bank levels
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Hands-on contributor who can handle strategy and execution
• Knowledge of banking systems (Fiserv, Call Reporting, QuickBooks) and other financial software

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP and bank accounting policies
• Assist month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Reconcile bank GL accounts and holding company GL accounts
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, resolve discrepancies with partners
• Manage accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• File regulatory reports including Quarterly Call Reports
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation for audits
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets
